How can I change where alternate or more views of my swatches appear?
Summary:
You can now select whether the "More Views" option in the image gallery for gridded (configurable) products appears above or below the swatch / attribute-specific image.
Solution:
Merchants can now select where the alternate views of their swatches will appear when displaying them on the product page. This change can be made by entering the admin panel and navigating to
System > Configuration > Catalog > Catalog > Gallery Options
.
The menu option will look like this:
The default store view without "More Views" compiles all swatches and alternate item images together across multiple rows:
"Above First Attribute Options"
- When the customer selects a swatch from the color drop down or physically clicks on the color option, the product page will expand to show the main swatch and alternate images associated above the primary swatches.
"Below
First Attribute Options (default)"
