Purpose:
To explain how to troubleshoot issues with changes not taking effect in your storefront.
Solution:
1. Check Admin Panel to verify that your changes are saved. If it looks as if all of your changes were made and saved in your NRO Admin Panel, then you may need to refresh your browser to make sure the storefront webpage is not stored in your browser's memory and being pulled from that.
2. Look for a message along the top of your NRO Admin Panel. Is it prompting you to to refresh your cache or reindex portions of your site? If so, just follow the link it gives you, select all the red options, and submit the changes.
Even if you don't have a warning about refreshing your cache or re-indexing, it might be a good idea to go ahead and do so. Pick the options under cache refresh or index that most closely relate to the changes you made and submit changes.
If this still does not work, you may need to refresh the cache and reindex the entire site. Under
System /
Cache Management
, choose
Flush Magento Cache
. Then go to
System
/
Index Management
. Choose
Select All
and then
Submit
all the way to the right.
Once it is done, go back to your
storefront
and hit the
F5
key on your keyboard. If you still do not see the changes, you will probably want to
clear your temporary internet files
again and use
F5
again.
