To explain how to specify the origin of your store, which is used for shipping rate calculations.

Sales-Shipping Settings
Go to
System
, then
Configuration
Under the
Sales
Section click on the
Shipping Settings
tab.
Expand the
Origin
panel.
Enter the
address
to match the physical location of your store's shipping origin. This could be your store or warehouse. Where ever your products usually ship out from.
Save
your changes.
WARNING
:
This field will only accept a 5 digit postal code. If you enter the 9 digit zip code, shipping options will be adversely affected.
