Purpose:
This article explains how to point alternate domains to your NRO store.
Solution:
In order to have alternate domains resolve to a specific product or category page, you need to set up the A-record within the alternate domains to point to your NRO store's IP address. Note, you must have your own domain in place, in order to do this. We don't require NRO stores to purchase a domain while under our nrostores.com domain. However, you must purchase an SSL certificate, if you wish to put your NRO store under your own domain. After the SSL certificate application is completed by the merchant, we'll issue your store's IP. At that time, you can set up any alternate domains to resolve directly to your store's web pages.
For example, if www.mystore.com is the domain of your store, you could set up an alternate to also point to your store. Therefore, www.myalternate.com/ecomm-cat-2.html will be able to resolve to www.mystore.com/ecomm-cat-2.html, it the A-record of the alternate domain is set up to point to the IP address of the "permanent" domain.
