Overview of the Catalog Menu

Purpose:
To describe the options available under the
Catalog
menu on the top horizontal menu.
Solution:
-
Manage Products
- This option allows to manage your product catalog. You can create simple and complex products, modifty existing products, assign product attributes., descriptions, images and more.

Manage Categories -
This option allows you to manage your product categories. You can create new categories, modify existing ones, add images to categories, and more.

Attributes
- Product attributes identify any property of a product. Properties include, but are not limited to, item ID, manufacturer, SKU, cost, etc. New attributes can be created and assigned based on the needs of your business. You can also create attribute sets that can be applied to a category of items without having to apply them to each individual item.

URL Rewrites
- This option will allow you to manage how your system handles URL rewrites. A URL rewrite changes a dynamic URL to one that is static, readable, and search engine friendly.

Search Terms -
This option shows information about the most frequently used search terms in your web store.

Reviews and Ratings
- This option allows you to set up and configure reviews and ratings for stores and products.

Tags
- This option helps you manage tags. Tags are descriptors that can be assigned to any product to help you organize and remember them.

Google Content
- This option allows you to manage the items and attributes associated with your Google Merchant account and your Google Shopping products.

Google Sitemap
- Google Sitemap is an index of all the pages on your site used specifially by Google as a roadmap when their search bot crawls your site.
