Purpose:

To explain how to see who is currently visiting your store.

Solution:

You can see a list of every customer who is currently visiting your store - whether they are logged in to their account or are guest customers.  You will be able to see the IP address from which they are acessing your site, the time their session began, the time of the most recent activity in your site, and the most recent URL they visited.

When you click on a logged in customer who has created an account with your store, you will be redirected to that customer's page in Admin.

Customers who are not logged in are referred to as Visitors under the Type column, and the First Name for all Visitors will be Guest under the First Name column.
