Overview: Item Reference Text can be implemented for any specific item where you wish to request additional information from the shopper, (e.g., birthdate, initials for a monogram). Item Reference Text is activated in CounterPoint in the Inventory Item record.

CounterPoint SQL

1. CounterPoint SQL– Setup / Ecommerce / Control
2. ( Items tab) -- Under "Reference" dropdown, choose one of the following:
   • Item Prompt 1
   • Item Prompt 2
   • Item Prompt 3
3. Save changes
4. CounterPoint SQL– Inventory / Items [pull up item]
5. ( Other tab) -- depending on which Prompt Code you configured above, enter the desired text label in Prompt Code 1, 2, or 3 (e.g., Birthdate, Initials)
6. Save changes, then publish to NRO

The result will be that your shoppers will be presented with a text entry field, either for the order, or along with specific items, depending on how you have set them up.
