Item Long Descriptions: Adding formatting to descriptions
Article Number: 286 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Tue, Nov 17, 2015 at 12:25 PM
Purpose:
To explain how to format NCR Counterpoint ecommerce long descriptions with HTML.
Solution:
The best way to add formatting to your ecommerce item long descriptions is through the use of HTML. Just insert basic HTML code into the long description.
However, do not insert double-quotes in your HTML. These will produce undesirable results in NRO. Instead, use only single-quotes, or no quotes.

In the example above, #FF0000 is actually the color red! HTML uses
HEX code
for colors. There are many free color pickers available on the Web that will give you HEX codes for colors.
*Note:
It would be better to add a style to a style sheet, and then reference the style in your HTML than to apply a font tag directly to your description. Contact Support for details.
