Selling Items with Multiple Units of Measure

Purpose:

This article details how to sell alternate units of measure online.

Solution:

In Counterpoint , there are several options for displaying units online:

Setup / Ecommerce / Control / Items tab
Units Allowed
1. Stocking Unit
  To publish item prices and quantities in terms of the item’s Stocking unit (only the stocking unit will be published)
2. Preferred Unit
  To publish item prices and quantities in terms of the item’s Preferred unit (only the preferred unit will be published)
3. Multiple alternate units
  To allow shoppers to select which unit they wish to order (all units will be published)

Alternate units are setup in Counterpoint but do not display online. Why not?
In Counterpoint , make sure the following is configured:

Setup / Ecommerce / Control / Items menu
Units Allowed should be set to Multiple units

Can I prevent an item with alternate units from being sold by alternate unit online?

Selling alternate units online is an all-or-nothing situation. You either sell alternate units of all ecommerce items that have them available, or you do not sell any alternate units online.
