Summary:
This article will explain how to disable the tracking attribute on the AddThis code provided in the Product Schema static block.
Solution:
If you look at your storefront and see a strange alpha tag on the end of your item detail URLs, it's likely caused by the tracking attribute in the AddThis social media block being set to "true." An example would look like this:
http://www.yourdomain.com/this-is-the-item-name.html#.VfryVBFVhHw
That hash tag at the end of the product URL is appearing due to this attribute in your Social Media block. This static block exists under CMS > Static blocks and has an identifier of celebrity_product_social_media. Once the details of the block are opened, the code can be seen by disabling the WYSIWYG editor. To do that, click the Show/Hide Editor button in your block that is highlighted in the image below:
By carefully replacing the word "true" with "false," the AddThis hash tag will no longer appear on the end of the product URLs visible in the storefront. This disables tracking that would be seen in your AddThis console.
