Changing Grid Cell labels to More User-friendly Web Names

Purpose:
This article explains how to change the grid cell labels to something more user friendly and SEO friendly. An example would be changing COLR to Color or STY to Style or SIZ to Size.

Solution:
  1. Select Catalog (horizontal top menu) / Attributes / Manage Attribute s .
  2. Find the attribute that displays the unfriendly grid cell name. For example, COLR or SIZ or STY.
  3. Click on the Manage Label / Options tab and expand the Manage Titles (Size, Color, etc) panel.
  4. Change the option in the Default Store View column to read the way you want.
  5. Save your changes.
