Summary:
To show how you can use a number other than zero to force items to display as out-of-stock in NRO.
Solution:
Setting Simple Items
System
(horizontal top menu) /
Configuration
Go to the
Catalog
section and then click on the
Inventory
tab.
Expand the
Product Stock Options
panel.
In the
Qty for Item's Status to Become Out of Stock
field, change the number
to what you want to trigger the out-of-stock message.
Save
your changes.
Setting Configurable Items
Catalog / Manage Products
Change the simple items that make up the configurable item as above.
Move to
Catalog / Manage Products
.
Change your
Type
to
Configurable Product
and press
Enter.
Click
Select All
above left of your products listing.
Under the
actions drop down
menu above right of your products, select
Update Attributes
.
Select
Inventory
under your
Product Information
.
Next to
Enable Qty Increments
,
check
the
Change box
.
Now, change your
Enable Qty Increments
box to
Yes
.
Save
your changes.
TIP:
If you want this to apply to only certain configurable items, you can use the other fields under
Catalog / Manage Products
to further filter your results.
